Description

Buildings and infrastructure in seismic zones have to be better prepared for earthquakes and so have special criteria for reinforcement. TATA Tiscon SD rebars are special grade rebars from Tata Steel and are particularly suited to meet these requirements. Its superior properties provide extra safety to constructions in frequent earthquake zones. TATA Tiscon SD is available in sizes from 6mm to 32mm.

1. 500 D
TATA Tiscon 500 D is a high strength ribbed TMT reinforcement bar. The consistency in strength across the rebar is maintained by reducing the impurities like Sulphur and Phosphorous to a level below 0.075%. ‘500’ refers of the rebar in MPa and ‘D’ refers to ductility of the rebar. TATA Tiscon 500 D conforms to the latest standards (last revision 2012) set by Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS)

2. 500 SD
TATA TISCON Super Ductile rebar’s guarantee more that the basic characteristic strength as per BIS-1786. They offer superior properties. With respect to percentage elongation and UTS/YS ratio compared to the specifications and in line with the international standards of high ductile specialtyrebar. The high uniform elongation ensures that even after large plastic deformation, the rebar’s do not start `necking` – a phenomenon which initiates ultimate failure.

Moreover, they restrict and certify nitrogen levels as per latest international norms for high quality rebar’s which in turn improve the torsional properties.
